ACE SALTZBERG, MA
Ace Saltzberg is a PsyD Candidate supervised by Dr. Erin Cantwell (#PSY33370). He obtained his Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and is finishing his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Santa Barbara. He has completed traineeship at Intensive Outpatient Programs for teens struggling with addiction and The Maple Counseling Center, as well as Beverly Hills High School.
Ace has worked with adolescents and young adults who struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues for the past 6 years, supporting them and their parents throughout the difficult journey of recovery as a mentor and parent coach. Ace is an LA native who grew up attending private schools on the West Side of LA and now speaks at a number of high schools about his own experience working through mental health and addiction issues.
Ace enjoys working with clients from varying backgrounds, from children and adolescents to young adults and parents. He has experience helping clients work through a complex array of struggles, from anxiety and depression, to trauma, and addiction in many forms, from technology to substance misuse. Ace specializes in bringing a strengths-based, CBT and DBT approach, incorporating practical tools for his clients to utilize in their daily lives that make a meaningful difference in how they cope with their individual issues. Ace also helps clients outside of the office by providing in-vivo exposure therapy and taking clients to participate in various activities, where it may be more comfortable for them to open up about sensitive issues.
