Preny Alaverdian is a 1st year doctoral student at Alliant International University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Woodbury University in 2021 with a B.A. in Psychology. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research examining negative cognitions caused by acculturation in minority communities. She is trained in Applied Behavior Analysis and worked as a Behavioral Therapist at Behavioral Learning Center with clients aged 4-18 years old.
Preny is interested in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Therapy (ET) for anxiety and depressive disorders. She is passionate about working with youth who come from diverse communities. She values making meaningful therapeutic relationships with her clients and takes a humanistic psychological approach. Her goals include creating a safe space for her clients to express themselves and developing treatment plans that are tailored for their individual needs.
