Deborah Altman is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist supervised by Dr. Katrina Rydzewski Psy.D. (PSY30831). Prior to receiving her M.S. from the University of Southern California, Deborah worked at the National Institutes of Health studying predictive traits of childhood disordered eating. Deborah later completed her traineeship at Children's Institute Inc. Deborah works with teens, adults, couples, and families, experiencing depression, anxiety, family conflict, and life transitions.

 

In the therapy room, Deborah is collaborative, warm, and compassionate. She believes that with the right tools and support systems, everyone has the innate capacity to heal and thrive. Deborah incorporates a variety of approaches in her work, including family systems, mind-body techniques, narrative modalities, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She has also received training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
