Dr. Andrea Brard is a licensed clinical psychologist at CARE-LA. She specializes in treating generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, autism, ADHD, and behavioral issues in children and adolescents.

Dr. Brard believes that anxiety is most successfully treated by using scientifically-supported treatments such as CBT, parent training, exposure and response therapy, and social skills training in conjunction with mind-body interventions including mindfulness, breathwork, guided imagery, and relaxation. Her approach also emphasizes tailoring therapeutic interventions to meet each child’s individual needs and she does not believe in adhering to a one-size-fits-all approach. In working with children and their parents, she strives to create a warm, supportive, enjoyable, and transformative therapeutic experience.

Dr. Brard received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the APA-accredited program at the California School of Professional Psychology and completed the majority of her clinical and research training at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and the UCLA Department of Psychology.
