Dr. Katrina Rydzewski, typically referred to as “Dr. Trina", is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been a part of the CARE-LA team since 2016. She has extensive clinical experience in working with children and adolescents impacted by anxiety and obsessive-compulsive related conditions.
Dr. Rydzewski received her undergraduate degrees from the University of Hawai’i, and went on to receive her doctorate in clinical psychology, specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy and early child development, from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles.
Throughout her training, Dr. Rydzewski has developed an expertise in early childhood trauma, and is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Attachment, Regulation and Competency Framework (ARC).
Dr. Rydzewski’s treatment philosophy is based on a traditional cognitive-behavioral perspective with an emphasis on family systems. She utilizes exposure-based treatments as needed. She is known to creatively incorporate mindfulness-based interventions to meet each individual child’s developmental needs and unique interests.
Dr. Rydzewski also specializes in intuitive eating, body image issues, and specific phobias.
