Dr. Tara DeLuco is a pediatric neuropsychologist, licensed clinical psychologist, and certified school psychologist. She specializes in providing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and consultation for children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 6-21) with various developmental, cognitive, attentional, learning, and/or social-emotional challenges, as well as those with current medical conditions and complex medical histories. 

 

Dr. DeLuco draws upon her knowledge and years of experience as a school psychologist, in combination with her neuropsychological training, to provide a comprehensive, individualized, and evidence-based assessment and treatment approach. Families receive in-depth information about their child’s cognitive and learning profile, including their unique pattern of strengths and challenges, in addition to diagnostic clarity, and targeted treatment recommendations for school, home, and community settings. 

 

Dr. DeLuco received a Master’s degree in School Psychology from the University of Hartford. She practiced as a school psychologist in a wide range of public and private school settings throughout Southern California, while simultaneously pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a health emphasis from Alliant International University in Los Angeles. She received practicum training focusing on pediatric neuropsychology at Children’s Hospital Orange County and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and then completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship in pediatric neuropsychology at AMITA Health/ Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in the Chicago area. She subsequently completed a two-year clinical pediatric neuropsychology post-doctoral fellowship and served as a Clinical Instructor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the NYU Langone Child Study Center in Manhattan, where she remains an adjunct faculty member. Dr. DeLuco continues to hold a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology in California.
