CARE-LA
CHILD ANXIETY REDUCTION EXPERTS
Many children and teens with ADHD struggle with executive functioning skills like organization, time management, planning, and follow-through. In fact, research suggests that up to 90% of children with ADHD experience executive function challenges that can impact academic success, confidence, and independence.
CARE-LA now offers Executive Function Coaching with Rana Lustyan, who brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her work. Using neuroscience-informed strategies and practical tools, Rana helps students build the skills needed to stay organized, manage time effectively, set goals, and develop stronger self-advocacy.
Our structured five-step coaching process includes an intake meeting, personalized assessment, weekly skill-building sessions, family collaboration, and a gradual transition toward independence. With early support, students can significantly strengthen their executive functioning skills and build the confidence they need to thrive in school and life.
1. Intake Meeting
The Intake Meeting is an introductory session to understand the changes you’re seeking with executive function coaching. Together, we’ll explore your goals and the qualities you want in a coach, ensuring a strong match. Schedule a free inquiry meeting to get started.
2. Assessment
Our assessment evaluates your or your student’s executive function needs and preferences. This includes reviewing important documents (like IEPs or 504 plans) and initial consultations with relevant professionals to develop a comprehensive understanding. Coaching is a one-size-fits-one model.

(P.O.S.I.T.I.V.E.) Coaching helps students tackle challenges, build resilience, and strengthen their growth mindset. We use a multi-sensory approach and offer additional virtual check-ins for clients 14+.
4. Family Team Meeting
Every 5-6 weeks, we hold a team meeting with family members and any involved professionals to celebrate progress, set new goals, and assign responsibilities for continued success.
5. Phasing Out
As students develop independence in their executive function skills, we gradually reduce coaching support, giving them space to practice on their own. We typically recommend at least 4 months of coaching to ensure lasting growth.
Early intervention can lead to a 30% improvement in executive functioning skills.
