Liat graduated from UC Berkeley with high honors. Previously, she trained as a ballerina and studied with professional ballet and modern dance companies. Body-awareness, movement and well-being have always played an important role in her life. Her personal experience and understanding of body image, perfectionism and anxiety was transformed when she was introduced to yoga and mindfulness. She trained with many renowned teachers and went on to become a Certified Yoga Instructor in 2002 in order to inspire a generation of well-minded and confident individuals. As a mother, Liat understands raising children in our complex world and the importance of self-awareness and authentic relationships with self and others.

 

Liat incorporates her mindfulness-based stress reduction training (MBSR), meditation and tapping (EFT) into her yoga classes for children, teens, adults and families. Her teachings address depression, anxiety, social disorders, perfectionism, OCD, grief and trauma.

 

Her highly praised yoga and mindfulness curriculum has been utilized in preschools and elementary schools throughout Los Angeles. Liat specializes in working with children and believes in making yoga an educational and playful experience. She combines yoga postures & movement, breath-work, affirmations, guided imagery and other mindfulness practices to relax the body and mind, foster self-awareness & emotional regulation, and help reduce stress. She has extensive experience working with children and teens individually and in group settings. She partners closely with the CARE-LA team to personalize a program to support the individual & complement the treatment plan. Her repertoire includes: Kids Yoga, Parent & Me, Pre-& Post-Natal, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Breathwork & Meditation, Mindfulness (MBSR), and Guided Visualization and Tapping (EFT).
