CHILD ANXIETY REDUCTION EXPERTS
Aditi is a student at the California School of Professional Psychology. She has extensive experience
working with infants and elementary school-aged children while working at the UCLA Language
Lab and the UCLA Language and Cognitive Development Lab. There, she assisted in conducting
research on the connection between language and psychological development in children. This has
helped her cultivate an in-depth understanding of how language used at home can significantly impact children’s self-image and self-worth.
Further, she has helped conduct research on the biological effects of fat phobic comments on adults and adolescents at the UCLA DiSH Lab. She has seen firsthand how social encounters affect both mental health and physical health. As such, she is a strong believer in the biopsychosocial model and hopes to work with families to pursue a journey of social learning, psychological well-being, and physical health.
Aditi will be providing individual therapy and assisting with social skills groups under the supervision
of Dr. Erin Cantwell and hopes to use her unique background to help foster a sense of community at CARE-LA.
