Zakieh Alahmad is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#140508). She obtained her masters of science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California and completed her traineeship at Respark Foundation and The Center for Professional Counseling.
Zakieh is LGBTQ+ affirming and enjoys working with adults, adolescents, and couples on a range of issues, some of which include anxiety, relationships, identity, self image and esteem, trauma, and sexuality. She has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and is fluent in American Sign Language. Zakieh tailors her approach to each individual client, and often pulls from Psychodynamic, Existential, Cognitive Behavioral, and Dialectical Behavioral techniques. With couples, Zakieh uses an Emotionally Focused Therapy approach.
