Zakieh Alahmad is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate supervised by Dr. Lauren Stutman (#PSY26768) and Dr. Cathy Schaefer (#PSY30365). She obtained her masters of science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California and completed her traineeship at Respark Foundation and The Center for Professional Counseling. 


Zakieh is LGBTQ+ affirming and enjoys working with individual adults, adolescents, and children as well as couples and families on a range of issues, some of which include anxiety, body image, identity, trauma, and sexuality. She has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and is fluent in American Sign Language. Zakieh tailors her approach to each individual client, and often pulls from Psychodynamic, Existential, Cognitive Behavioral, and Dialectical Behavioral techniques. With couples, Zakieh uses an Emotionally Focused Therapy approach.
