CHILD ANXIETY REDUCTION EXPERTS
Behnaz Negahban is a first-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at the California School of
Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in
Digital Media from Otis College of Art and Design, where she developed a strong foundation in
creativity, communication and understanding the power of human connection.
Before beginning her doctoral training, Behnaz gained clinical experience in an outpatient psychiatry
practice, where she observed psychiatric evaluations, therapy sessions, and clinical intakes while
supporting patient care under the supervision of an attending psychiatrist. She has also facilitated social skills groups for children, helping them build emotional awareness, strengthen communication skills and develop positive peer relationships.

Behnaz enjoys working with children, adolescents and families and has a particular interest in anxiety,
trauma, emotional development and culturally responsive care. She is passionate about incorporating
creativity and mindfulness into evidence-based treatment and believes that every client deserves a
therapeutic environment where they feel safe, respected and understood.
At CARE-LA, Behnaz co-facilitates social skills groups while continuing to develop her clinical skills under the supervision of Dr. Erin Cantwell.
