ALISHIA QADRI

Alishia Qadri is currently a second year student in a psychology doctoral program at the California School of Professional Psychology. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Arizona and has been working in the field for 6 years. Supervision is provided by Dr. Erin Cantwell, PhD.

Ms. Qadri has worked as a behavioral health technician at an inpatient psychiatric hospital. She has worked with patients with various types of problems including poverty, homelessness, substance abuse disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral disorders, and learning disabilities. She also has experience administering assessments with adults and adolescents to assess facets of mental functioning.

Her goal is to be able to treat mental health problems and facilitate productive communication between patients, help patients adapt to complex life changes, and learn more healthy coping strategies. Currently, she is doing her dissertation on mass shootings in the school environment and ways to assist children who have survived these traumatic events.
