VALERIE BELLENGER

Valerie is a second-year doctoral student of counseling psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. She has recently joined CARE-LA as a supervisee of Dr. Erin Cantwell.

She has a master’s and bachelor’s in creative and critical writing and enjoys incorporating creativity and communication skills into her sessions, whether they be mindfulness-based or depth oriented.

Valerie’s previous training in forensics offered experience in the juvenile justice system. There, she supported at-risk youth with psychological testing, drug court and group therapy. As a coach, she works with adult individuals and couples experiencing challenges in relationships by leveraging her training in psychodynamic therapy with communication skills development. She aims to develop more fully into an integrative, holistic provider – calling upon a variety of modalities and wellness practices for balanced treatment.
