PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATE

Dr. Olivia Tiffany.jpg

Dr. Olivia Tiffany received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the APA-accredited program at the California School of Professional Psychology. She completed her Predoctoral Internship at Allina Health in Minnesota where she specialized in providing therapeutic care to children and adolescents.

Dr. Tiffany specializes in working with pre-teen and adolescent girls (female-identifying). She wrote her dissertation on the development and mental health of girls and has extensive experience providing individual therapy to girls as well as leading therapeutic groups and summer camps for girls. Dr. Tiffany uses the lenses of culture and gender to explore the specific challenges which girls face today. She supports girls to reach their full potential and actualize their truest self through helping them to identify their values, discover and use their voices, tune into their intuition, build health-supporting habits and coping skills, and engage in healthy friendships. It is through this work which Dr. Tiffany supports girls to move through anxiety, perfectionism, stress, trauma, relational difficulties, disordered eating, depression, and body -image concerns.

Dr. Tiffany believes that the biggest predictor of success in therapy is the therapeutic relationship. Her playful energy, strong listening skills, and compassionate demeanor helps her clients to feel safe, seen, and connected. Dr. Tiffany also takes a family-systems approach and believes in integrating parent work into the therapeutic model. She uses therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and attachment-based therapies to support her clients’ growth and evolution.

Dr. Tiffany’s services at CARE-LA are provided under the supervision of Dr. Katrina Rydzewski Psy.D. (PSY30831)
